Choosing the right body wash for your skin is important because of how frequently you’ll be using it. There are endless body wash scents on the market, but when choosing a body wash, how important is the scent in comparison to its benefits? Benefits - Especially For Sensitive Skin

I always choose a body wash for its benefits, and never for the scent. This is because the scent is very often created with chemicals and products to make it more appealing to the consumer. It’s important to pay more attention to the ingredients and their effects on your body, especially if you have sensitive skin.

Benefits - For Cleaning the Body Effectively

The main purpose of body wash is to clean your body effectively, and so in my eyes, the benefits are much more important than the scent.

That's not to say the scent is unimportant - it definitely is. It's just that the benefits are the deciding factor when I buy body wash.

If your goal is to smell nice, then why not use a product designed solely to make you smell nice, like fragrance?

Benefits - To Avoid Skin From Being Irritated or Dry

In my opinion, the benefits of a body wash are far more important than the scent. While you want to enjoy the way that your body will smell after you have washed, you also don’t want to be left with irritated or dry skin - which can happen if you don’t find the right body wash benefits for you. This is especially important for those with sensitive skin, as you will need to find a body wash that complements your skin type and won’t have any harsh chemicals or perfumes in it (that are often added to create a nice body wash scent).

The Smell Of Body Wash With Good Benefits

When I pick out a body wash, the scent is usually more important than any benefits it may claim to offer. After all, if I'm going to be using it every day, I should like how it smells. You can usually find a body wash that smells good and has whatever benefits you're looking for. For example, maybe you want a moisturizing body wash because you have really dry skin or it's winter and your skin is drying out. You can find ones that smell nice and offer moisturizing potential.
